Frequently Asked Questions

How long do you list my item for sale on eBay?

We typically use a 7 day auction to maximize bidding interest. Certain items that are of an exceptional rarity, we may extend the auction length to 10 days. For the most part, we avoid auctions that are shorter than 7 days unless the item is associated with a time constraint (ie a few days before Xmas)

What if my item doesn't sell during the auction period?

If your item doesn't sell, you may be notified via email and we can either relist the item, we can donate the item, or it can be returned to you.

Can I set a minimum selling price for my eBay auction?

Yes. Sellers are able to set an opening bid or 'reserve' of $9.99 or higher. However, while minimum opening bids / reserves above $9.99 do provide a "safety net" for which an item must sell, they usually limit bidding activity and can scare off potential bidders. If you let us determine how to price it, you avoid the listing fee and will generate more bids and usually, a higher price than your minimum selling price

When can I expect to receive my check?

Generally, you will receive a check approximately 30-45 days from the date your item is picked up. Please note that winning bidders who delay in paying for your item will cause delays in our timing for sending out your check. In addition, occasionally a winning bidder may never pay for your item. In this case, we will cancel the original auction and relist your item. Your check amount and payment timing will be based on the results of this new auction. If you have the Arizona Stuff Exchange selling many items for you, a prearranged time interval for the disbursement of checks will be set up in the event that the items will be sold over time.

How does the Arizona Stuff Exchange earn its commission?

Like any retailer, the Arizona Stuff Exchange makes a commission on the items we sell. This fee is used to cover the costs of pick-up, photographing, listing, payment collection, customer service and packing & shipping. Once the item sells, the Arizona Stuff Exchange deducts both our commission and eBay and payment processing fees before sending you a check.
